InVantage makes reordering easy with a batch re-order process that allows a user to view and filter a list of items with low stock amounts and automatically create purchase orders for selected items in The Financial Edge accounts payable module.

Inventory transaction data can flow directly into the Financial Edge general ledger. From within a new general ledger batch, users can easily view, filter and select inventory transactions to populate the batch. Like any Financial Edge records, Inventory items that have been posted to GL cannot be modified or deleted.

For ease of use, deployment, and maintenance, InVantage was designed as a web application that is accessible on your local area network with a standard web browser. Users responsible for managing inventory do not need to access or install The Financial Edge to process everyday inventory transactions.

Not all inventory is purchased for resale. Many non-profits distribute inventory to donors or clients, and some apply inventory to projects. In any case, these costs need to be properly accounted for. InVantage allows inventory to be sold via the sales order/fulfillment process, or to be assigned to general ledger accounts and projects providing a complete audit trail for your inventory expenditures. InVantage supports FIFO, average, and standard costing methods.

InVantage Inventory adds the sales order entry/fulfillment process to The Financial Edge. Sales orders can be created to record the sale or the distribution of inventory to clients, vendors, or Raiser's Edge constituents. In addition, pick lists and shipping advices are provided for each sales order. If you use AR, a sales order can create an AR invoice in The Financial Edge without leaving inventory.

Donations can be entered directly in InVantage Inventory, and donors can be selected from either Financial Edge vendors or Raiser's Edge constituents. Inventory levels are updated, and receipts can be printed for the donor.
